NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Beaumont City Council will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at 550 E. 6th Street, Beaumont, California 92223, to receive testimony and comments from all interested persons regarding the adoption of the following matter(s):

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA AMENDING TABLE 17.03-3 “PERMITTED USES FOR BASE ZONE DISTRICTS” AND ADDING CHAPTER 17.18 “WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATION FACILITIES” OF THE BEAUMONT MUNICIPAL CODE

It is the purpose and intent of the Ordinance is to amend the permitted land use tables of permitted uses for base zone districts Table 17.03-3 and add Chapter 17.18 regulating the location and design of wireless telecommunication facilities.


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Beaumont Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 550 E. 6th Street, Beaumont, California 92223, to receive testimony and comments from all interested persons regarding the adoption of the following matter(s):

Hidden Canyon Development Agreement (PLAN2019-0336) Consideration of a development agreement related to development of the Hidden Canyon Specific Plan. The Hidden Canyon Specific Plan project is approximately 198.38 acres of land (Assessor Parcel Nos. 424-010-011 through 424-010-018, inclusive), located south of SR-60 west of Potrero Boulevard and east of Jack Rabbit Trail. The proposed application for a development agreement is exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act. The applicant for this request is McDonald Property Group.  

The case file, plans, and all supporting documentation for the project can be reviewed at the Beaumont Civic Center, 550 East Sixth Street, Beaumont, California.   On public hearings items the public may present testimony to the Planning Commission and City Council either in person or by mail.  Written comments will be accepted until the night of the hearing.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA AMENDING TABLE 17.03-3 “PERMITTED USES FOR BASE ZONE DISTRICTS” AND TABLE17.03-4 “PERMITTED USES FOR OVERLAY ZONE DISTRICTS” WITHIN CHAPTER 17, “ZONING” OF THE BEAUMONT MUNICIPAL CODE

It is the purpose and intent of the Ordinance to amend the permitted land use tables to include “Daycare Centers, Large Family – 7 to 14 Children” as permitted uses in the Rural Residential (RR), Residential Single Family (RSF) and Residential Multi-Family (RMF) and Overlay ones effective January 1, 2020, as required by Senate Bill No. 234.
