  • Contractor doing the work must have a valid City of Beaumont business license and State Contractor's license (Class A, C-8, or C-36 required) appropriate for the work being done.
  • If the Permit Application is complete, time frame for approval ranges from 2 or 3 working days to several weeks, depending on the nature of the work.
  • Permit fees for approved Applications are based on the City of Beaumont Fee Schedule. Fees start at $175.00 for minor street encroachments, and increase depending on the impact of proposed project.
  • If the work performed affects traffic, whether it is pedestrian or vehicular, a Traffic Control Plan (TCP) is required. Minimum requirements for Traffic Control Plans are available at the Public Works Department.
