Beaumont, CA - On Saturday, September 17, 2022, the City of Beaumont and Waste Management held our Bi-Annual Community Clean-up Event. The event provides dumpsters for residents to bring in bulky item trash, junk and yard waste, as well as a place to dispose of e-waste items. In addition, the City provides shredding services for document shredding through i-Shred.
Saturday’s event was well attended by residents. Seven trash trucks were filled, as well as an additional eight 40-gallon roll-off containers which were filled with additional trash, metal and mattresses. Several residents were provided with dump passes to remove bulky items that weren't able to be taken in at the event, and the e-waste and shredding services were a popular stop as well.
The City of Beaumont would like to thank the over 100 volunteers who came to the event to help out. Not only did they assist residents in removing their trash and bulky items from their vehicles, several of our area service groups came out to clean up the parks, alleyways and streets surrounding the event. A Special thank you to the Beaumont Interact Club, who help us coordinate this event. Interact is a community service club for 6th to 12th graders who strive to be involved and help the community. Also, a special thank you to Beaumont Rotary, AVID, Cub Scouts 322 and Boy Scouts 322. This event would not be possible without all of our wonderful volunteers! Thank you to all for helping to keep Beaumont beautiful!
If you missed this weekend’s event, we will offer it again in the Spring, so check the City website and social media pages for details. Also, as part of your annual trash services with Waste Management you are entitled to two bulky item pickups each year.
