The City of Beaumont, Beaumont Police Department and Riverside County Emergency Management Department (EMD) will host a community meeting on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, to discuss the threat of floods following the Apple and El Dorado Fires.
The City of Beaumont, Beaumont Police Department and Riverside County Emergency Management Department (EMD) will host a community meeting on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, to discuss the threat of floods following the Apple and El Dorado Fires.
The informational meeting is the first in a series of events aimed at educating residents on the risks associated with flooding. Beaumont and EMD staff will discuss areas of concern, evacuation maps, preventative measures, and emergency alerts.
The community meeting will take place at 2 pm and be repeated at 6:30 pm at the Beaumont Civic Center, located at 550 E. 6th Street. The meetings will be streamed live and available on Facebook for those unable to attend in-person. Attendees are required to wear a face mask and complete a temperature check before entering the building. Public health protocols will be in place, including social distancing and increased sanitization.
