Join us for Beaumont's inaugural Día de los Muertos celebration on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Albert A. Chatigny Sr. Community Recreation Center, located at 1310 Oak Valley Parkway. This free, family-friendly event will honor the rich cultural traditions of Día de los Muertos with a vibrant day of remembrance and celebration.
Highlights include:
Community Pet Ofrenda: Beginning October 1, bring photos of your beloved pets who have passed on to contribute to the community ofrenda.
Catriń/Catrina Contest - Entries will be simple walk-on-and-pivot displays. The emphasis of judging is on the costumes; but makeup, presentation, and creativity will also be taken into account.
Mariachi Music & Dancing: Enjoy lively performances throughout the day.
Crafts & Face Painting: Get creative with themed crafts and traditional face painting.
Food Vendors & Kids Zone*: Delicious food options and fun activities for children of all ages.
