Officers responded to an attempted robbery occurring at Highland Fuel located at 501 Highland Springs Avenue. Two suspects attempted to take the cash register but were unsuccessful. No vehicle was seen during the incident and the suspects were last seen running onto the westbound I-10 onramp.
While patrolling the area, a second robbery at the Shell Gas Station located at 97 Beaumont Avenue occurred. Video surveillance confirmed the suspects were the same for both incidents and no weapons were used. The suspects were last seen running north towards Euclid Avenue.

SUSPECT 2: Black male wearing a dark sweater, black sweats, and a mask.
Responding units set up a perimeter and additional units from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office and aviation from the City of Riverside’s Police Department assisted. The area was canvased using the K9 team but was unsuccessful.
The City of Beaumont Police Department is urging anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity or has any information regarding these incidents to come forward and assist with the investigation. Any details, no matter how insignificant, could be critical and aid in the identification and subsequent arrest.
