Coming Soon: Towncenter Beaumont Sidewalk Improvement Project
An upcoming sidewalk improvement project is currently being planned for the towncenter area. The towncenter area consists of the residential areas adjacent to the downtown area. The project will enhance the accessibility, safety, and overall appeal of our city. As part of our ongoing commitment to creating a more vibrant, safe and pedestrian-friendly environment, we are embarking on this initiative to improve our sidewalks for the benefit of all residents and visitors.
We wanted to take this opportunity to share our vision with you and highlight some of the key objectives that we aim to achieve:
- Increased Accessibility
- Enhanced Safety
- Added Curb Appeal
During the planning phase, key segments of each street were identified that would achieve the greatest impact to the community while achieving the key objectives. Although several segments were selected, the scope of the project will depend on the actual construction costs. Any segment not selected in this year’s project will be considered for future year projects. The city continues to be committed to improving sidewalks and walkable space throughout.
Want to learn more? Attend our community meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14 at the Civic Center.

As we move forward with the planning and implementation process, we will keep you informed and engaged through various communication channels, including community meetings, social media, and updates on our city website.
