Beaumont Transit Yard

Project Description 

The City of Beaumont is proposing to develop a new Transit Yard and facility located on the southwest corner of 4th Street and Veile Avenue. The proposed 6.15-acre development would include the construction of an Administrative Operations Facility, Vehicle Maintenance Facility, Hydrogen Fueling Station, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Fueling Station, Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Infrastructure, an equipment storage building, an outdoor secured storage area, and designated parking with both uncovered and solar-covered areas.

Project Updates 

  • On July 16, 2024, the City Council awarded an Architecture and Engineering contract to Gillis + Panichapan Architects (GPA) to design the proposed Beaumont Transit Yard.
  • On June 17, 2025, GPA presented an update to the City Council on what the proposed Beaumont Transit Yard will feature based on multiple discussions with staff and iterations of site layouts (see renderings below). 
  • GPA submitted 30% level plans for City review. The City provided comments to be incorporated into the plans.
